I used to think he and Bolin weren’t actually brothers. This was a thought before the season finished. I thought maybe they just grew up together calling each other brothers on the street. 

I always thought Mako was the long lost child of Zuko or… something. Some kind of link.

Apparently there kind of was. Anyways, I found out that there were actually two voice actors for General Iroh, one for the first two seasons, and someone new for the third book. He died of cancer before the episode “Tales of Ba Sing Se”. He was honored at the end of the episode.

Mako is named after the voice actor Mako Iwamatsu.
